How to...edit an order

Need to update something within a customer's order? This guide tells you how.

What you can Edit (from January 2026)

You can directly edit the following 3 aspects within an order:

  1. Shipping addresses
  2. Gift messages and any text option
  3. Delivery date estimates

How to Edit

Within an Order details page, you’ll see a red pencil icon next to certain fields. See the screenshot below.

This red pencil icon highlights which parts of the order can be edited.

  1. Click the red pencil to open a quick edit window for that section.
  2. Make your changes and then Save.
  3. Once saved, the update is applied straight away.

The customer does not get an update when you make these changes so if needed confirm back to the customer via the Order chat as needed.

Other Edits Needed?

If you need to make an update that involves taking extra payment (e.g. for upgrade shipping) or issuing a partial refund - see the help guides below.

If the customer has changed their mind and wants to order something else entirely then we recommend you cancel their order (they will get automatically refunded) and then ask them to place a new order.

If you need to make another type of update to an order (for example to remove an item or change the quantity within an order) contact Seller Support.
