The Import Products feature saves you time and makes listing your products on Yumbles easier than ever.
With just a few clicks, you can now import your Shopify product export directly into your Seller Portal and create your listings in bulk.
Don't have Shopify?
You can use this feature even if you don’t use Shopify. Download the template here, fill it with your product information in the right columns and then import that file using the steps below.
Step by Step Guide
STEP 1 - Get your CSV file ready
Export your products from your Shopify account using the default export format.
Make sure the file includes the following mandatory columns:
Handle (mandatory) - A unique identifier for products that is used to group product images to support multiple image uploads.
Title (mandatory) - Title of product.
Body (mandatory) - Product description. This field supports html for easy formatting.
Variant SKU (mandatory) - Your unique product codes. The SKU code is used as the identifier for the product. It is very important to not have duplicate product SKUs as products will be skipped if the SKU code already exists.
Variant Price (mandatory) - Product Price. This field will set both price and RRP. If you want to set a different price or RRP please do so while reviewing your listings.
Tags (optional) - Set tags for your products. Each tag should be separated with comma (,). To activate your products you will need to have at least five (5) tags in each listing. If your file does not contain tags, you can add them when reviewing your listings. The system will import the first 10 tags only so make sure the more relevant ones are always first.
Variant Inventory Qty (optional) - Quantity of product. If left blank then we will add our default value of fifteen (15).
Image Src (optional) - Product image(s) URLs. If this column is left empty, you will need to upload images manually when reviewing your products as it is mandatory for listings to have at least one main image. Important note: For the images to be successfully uploaded they need to be publicly hosted. (See guide for multiple images upload below).
STEP 2 - Go to the Product upload tool.
You can access the Product import tool in two places:
Administration Menu
Go to Administration → Import → Products in your Seller Panel
Add Product menu
Go to Products → Add New Product (dropdown) → Select Import Shopify CSV
STEP 3 - Select a Main Category
Use the Main category picker to add the main category for your products.
STEP 4 - Select your CSV file
STEP 5 - Click on Import
Just click on Import and your listings will be created (with status Disabled for now until you finalise and activate them as per the final two steps).
STEP 6 - Review & Finalise your listings
Once your upload finishes, a pop up message will prompt you to review and complete any missing details. Click on review and you will be redirected to your product list, showing only your newly uploaded products.
Imported products may need the following updated/ enhanced:
- Product Names tweaked to be sufficiently clear and descriptive when listed on our marketplace (vs your own website)
- Main Category amended for some products
- Images (at least one image is required for activation; we recommend you add multiple)
- Ingredients added (if this wasn't in your import)
- Product Options like Gift Message added (if applicable)
- Tags (you need at least 5 to activate the listing)
If you want to review your newly imported products at a later time you can use the ‘Last import’ filter. Go to Products → Advanced Search → Tick the Last Import box → Click Search. This filter shows only the products created via your most recent CSV upload that are still in Disabled status.
STEP 7 - Set status to Active
Once you are done reviewing & enhancing your listings, simply change the status to Active.
How to upload multiple images
Using the handle column (where you enter a unique identifier for each product), the product import tool is able to group multiple rows for one listing. If the handle used in each row is the same then our system will pick all image URLs and upload them to that listing.
You do not have to repeat the rest of the data, only the handle!

Troubleshooting Common Upload Issues
1. Upload is Blocked (CSV needs fixing)
If your CSV is missing required info, the upload will be stopped. Fix the file and try again.
2. Upload Succeeds but Needs Manual Follow Up
These issues will not stop your upload, but you will need to resolve them before activating listings:
